Everyman Theatre is thrilled to present the world premiere of Different Words for Happiness by Baltimore playwright and Everyman Resident Company member Katie Kleiger, running October 18 through November 15.
When Ava gets a late-night call from an ex-lover, she must confront a past she thought she had left behind. That call leads her to Eleanor, an accomplished older woman privately grappling with a midlife crisis of her own. Two women at very different stages of life find each other at just the right moment, and together they work through blame and forgiveness while reclaiming the power to define happiness on their terms. It’s both amusing and honest, and it’s made for conversation afterward.
