Bromo Art Walk Fall 2025

An evening of open studios, exhibits, live performances, and installations!

This multi-block, multi-sensory night on the town showcases the Bromo Arts District in all its glory: open galleries, live performances, imaginative projects, and in-person engagement, all taking place on Thursday, September 11, from 5-9pm.

View information below about the participating artists, organizations, and retailers. Event maps will be available at all participating locations during the event and the digital brochure can be downloaded in advance. Check out the event Google Map to help navigate the district and to view all venues, retailers, and public art locations. And for fast travel between venues, hop on a Lime scooter or bike that will be available throughout the district.

Wrap up your night at the Bromo Art Walk After Party with two powerhouse acts bringing bold energy to the stage at Current Space’s Garden Bar! Experience an energetic, visceral show by Abdu Ali – anointed as a cosmic, punk, and soulful tempest on stage. Then, DJ SDOT keeps the energy high with an electrifying set that blends club, baile funk, gqom, and house – you won’t have a choice but to get up and move.

Enjoys drinks at the Garden Bar and late night bites from Mera Kitchen Collective and Lacaye BBQ.

Please show your free Art Walk Eventbrite registration (digitally or printed) at the door. Enter through 421 N. Tyson Street, located between Mulberry and Franklin Streets. Once the courtyard capacity is reached, new attendees will only be let in as people leave. Thank you for understanding.

Join Community Collab and participate in producing and recording a song utilizing live instruments and vocals. Final song will be sent to all participants. Viewers are welcome, too. The recording session takes place from 5-8pm with playback and mixing from 8-9pm.

The installation, Art Against Tyranny, curated by Artdromeda, will force viewers to confront the current political climate and the cost of complicity. As authoritarian narratives rise globally, the show urges urgent resistance.

Get inspired by Brinae’s Tap Clinic led by Baakari Wilder and band. Come learn how to build your improvisational skills and fun facts about Baby Laurence!

EUBIE BLAKE CULTURAL CENTER: 847 N. Howard St. // 5-9pm

View Devotion, Dreams, and Destiny, a solo exhibition by Nigerian-born artist VILLAGER. Spanning painting, installation, experimental film, and collage, the works explore post-colonial identity, ancestral knowledge, and speculative storytelling. Inspired by Ben Okri’s The Famished Road, the exhibition invites viewers into a liminal space where past and present, the real and the unseen, converge.

Join the Charles Funn Quartet for a soulful tribute to Black jazz legends — Ellington, Thad Jones, Coltrane, Mingus, Horace Silver, and more. Feel the rhythm, hear the legacy.

Solo show by Dara Lorenzo, sharing textiles, prints, paintings, and mixed media focused on self-reflection, identity, and memory.

KEUR KHALEYI AFRICAN DANCE COMPANY: 847 N. Howard St. // Performance: 6-6:40pm

Watch a live performance from the resident company of The True Story of Africa, a traditional West African dance and song exhibition.

Visitors will have the opportunity to sample special items from a range of Market merchants and take home an artist-created Culinary Map that highlights Market dishes and the cultural stories behind them.

Come indulge in nostalgia with Marsapalooza, featuring creative vendors and retro gaming in a synth/retro/vaporwave atmosphere.

Enjoy a live music performance by Be Steadwell in the gallery at 6pm, a community weaving project by Hannah Atallah in our community lounge, and risograph print demonstrations with JESS JESS PRESS in the studio throughout the evening.

MAP and the Bureau of Queer Art present Volume 10: Dismantled, an exhibition exploring queer identity and community as an exercise of celebration.

Experience martial arts demonstrations alongside musical and dance performances.

MURAL ART TOURS BALTIMORE: 401 N. Howard St. // 5:30-8:30pm (last tour leaves at 8pm)

Take a 30-minute walking tour to explore the black history or murals of the area. Tours alternate, departing every 15 minutes. Meet on the sidewalk outside of 401 N. Howard Street.

NEON PAINT PLACE: 307 W. Baltimore St. //5-9pm

Enjoy glow-in-the-dark splatter paint and sip & paint experiences for all ages, gear included! We provide goggles, hazmat suits, gloves, and booties so you can get messy and creative. Bring your friends, family, or come solo for a night filled with color, music, laughter, and community vibes. Lets light up the night!

Visit the youth-led Emerging Artists Shop for handmade art, jewelry, and crafts.

Come celebrate the launch of Red Giant, a new gallery and artist studio space in the Bromo Arts District. Explore the new exhibition, visit artist studios, and help build this community hub for creativity in Baltimore!

Kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with artmaking led by Pablo Machioli, screenings of short videos by the Walters Art Museum and more!
