Sierra DeVuyst

My paintings use acrylic, spray, and oil with low-relief sculpture, exploring “carchitecture” and societal structures. I critique car-centric cities, suburban sprawl, and the abandonment of public transit, linking them to environmental, social and psychological decay. Using Halley-esque cells and boxes, I depict isolation through infrastructure and social media. Inspired by Guston, Struble, and Madani, I employ conflicting colors and symbolic elements to question modernity and power.
